A reclaimed, cast iron fire insert. The cast iron surround has a decorative arch with repeating border patterns, featuring crosses and twists. There is a pretty design at the top of the smoke flap and the curved front bars are intact. The fire and surround is in good, useable condition, however as the fire is reclaimed there are some slight signs of use and wear. The cast iron fire insert has some very slight small scratches, pitting and marks but the iron has been blacked and polished, leaving an attractive finish and rich colour. The fire back has some surface rust.
A lovely fire with a pretty design, perfect for a country or rustic interior, that will add great character and style to a home.
Price £275.00 inc VAT

FC0010 A Reclaimed Cast Iron Art Deco Combination Fire c.1920
A very attractive Art Deco combination fire. The fire has a fantastic, classic, Art Deco design with beautifully styled smoke hood and decorative front bars. The fire has a pretty cross design to the concrete fire back, which is a a rare feature within a fire. The fire is a reclaimed antique and therefore does have some signs of use and wear. The iron has been blacked and polished and has an attractive finish and colour, however there are some slight casting marks and scratches. There has been a repair made to a crack in the mantel and it is now solid. One bolt is missing from the mantel and it has been replaced with a large, solid, nail. The mantel is sturdy but please note the nail head does not fit flush with the mantel. Buyer may wish to replace nail with a mantel bolt. There are some slight chips to the mantel edge. The fire has a wonderful, classic, look that would suit most interiors and add style and interest to a home. A lovely antique item.

FC0014 A Pretty Decorative Antique Cast Iron Combination Fire C.1903
A very ornate and petite, cast iron combination fire. The fire is heavily decorated with a central sun motif, decorative flower border and candelabra style flower designs on each leg. The fire has a heavy mantel and attractive, serpentine smoke hood and complimentary front bars. The fire has solid fireback and original smoke flap. The fire has matching RD numbers on the smoke flap and back of the fire. The number RD385522 dates the fire to 1900-1909.
The fire has front fixing lugs intact, ready for attaching to the wall. The fire has been lacquered and burnished, giving a silvery finish. The fire is in very good, useable condition, with some slight signs of use and wear, as expected of reclaimed items. There are some slight scratches and marks to the cast iron. There is some repaired damage under the mantel where a mantel fixing lug had been broken. The lug has been repaired and has new bolts and repair patch but some damage is visible from the front and back, under the mantel (please see pictures for details).
